Banquet Server

London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Food and Beverage Team as a Banquet Server.

Job Summary
Set up and clean banquet rooms and serve banquets.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Perform related banquet set-up tasks.
  • Provide immediate attention to all guests upon seating them.
  • Take beverage orders and serve food in specified station.
  • Pour and refill wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal.
  • Clear soiled dishes as needed.
  • Clean all assigned work areas in kitchen and banquet areas.
  • Advise supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Assist in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room for the next function.
  • Attend staff meetings including pre-service (line-up) sessions.
  • Assure that all federal and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
  • Thank members and guests; invite them to return.
  • Consistently follow all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene.
  • Complete other appropriate assignments made by the Banquet and Catering Manager or Banquet Supervisor.
  • Knowledge of food and wine.
Qualifications Required
  • Successful completion of the Smart Serve Certificate (prior to start date).
  • Ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Successful completion of the Safe Food Handlers Certificate (recommended).

Education/Experience
  • 6 months food service experience is preferred but we pride ourselves on the ability to train the right individual with passion for serving others.

Dining Room Server

London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Food and Beverage Team as a Dining Room Server.

Job Summary
Provide food and beverage service to the Club’s Members and guests in the Clubhouse.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Set up side station and perform assigned side (prep) work.
  • Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon seating.
  • Distribute food and wine menus; answer inquiries.
  • Take members’ and guests’ orders; suggestively sell food and beverage items, if appropriate.
  • Place orders with kitchen; inform cooks about any special cooking instructions.
  • Serve meals; place dishes by course in front of each person.
  • Check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction; replenish water and butter as necessary.
  • Remove soiled dishes.
  • Present dessert menus, suggest and serve dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks.
  • Present the bill
  • Handle all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
  • Keep tables, dining room and bus station areas clean.
  • Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by the dining room captain (dining room supervisor, dining room manager, or outlet manager).
  • Thank members and guests; invite them to return.

Job Summary
The Senior Locker Room Attendant position deals directly with Members and their guests. They should endeavor to solve any problems that a Member or guest may encounter and inform management of any issues brought forth. This position is for the Men’s Locker Room.

Overnight Cleaner (Seasonal)

Job Summary
The overnight cleaner will be responsible to clean Member facilities overnight, so they are presentable for use in the morning.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Clean and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc).
  • Clean washrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, counters, wash towels, empty garbage’s etc.
  • Operate various equipment including the auto-scrubber.
  • Perform daily laundry duties, stock and maintain amenities.

Chef de Partie

Job Summary
The Chef De Partie (CDP) will be responsible for supporting the Head and Sous Chef in a busy kitchen delivering consistently high-quality food, handling purchase orders and ensuring that items arriving without authorization are not received.
This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques
  • Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks
  • Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef

Cook

Job Summary
As a line chef, you would be working on a variety of stations in a high volume kitchen environment. You would be responsible for creating an exceptional culinary experience for the guests through preparation, cooking and food presentation. 


This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Provide the highest and most efficient level of hospitality service to the Club guests
  • Work in the designated station as set by Sous Chef or Chef de Partie
  • Organize the assigned work area and efficiently put away orders
  • Prepare food within recommended time frames
  • Operate kitchen equipment like braising pan, baking ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers
  • Produce quality product in a timely and efficient manner for the guests or staff
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation at the assigned work area
  • Prepare and cook all food items by the recipe and to specification
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
  • Prepare all menu items by strictly following recipes and yield guide

Dishwasher

London Hunt and Country Club

Job Summary

Primarily responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools. Also responsible for washing dishes, china ware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen vessels, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment and more. Maintains the kitchen, dish washing and back area in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with local authority and club guidelines.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organized at all times.
  • Ensure floors are dry and clean at all times.
  • Operate pot-washing machinery and maintain a hygienic working environment in accordance with hygiene regulations and company standards.
  • Adhere to all sanitation guidelines.
  • Assist the Cooks and Servers as and when necessary.
