The Club brings families together and our Club is a 2nd home to over 1,500 members. We’ve got a strong foundation and continue to modernize our service offerings to ensure multi-generational enjoyment throughout 267 acres of breathtaking, panoramic scenery. Although the Club began as a hunting club in 1885, over the years, amenities such as dining, golf, tennis, trap and skeet and fitness were added to enrich member experience. Club members have a history of excellence in business, athletics, and altruistic pursuits.

The London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Senior Grounds Management Team as Equipment Manager.

The London Hunt and Country Club is seeking a talented, career minded Equipment Manager for our championship level operation. We are fortunate our membership supports a strong capital equipment purchasing plan and continue to invest in our operation to help supply all team members with the necessary tools/items to meet our championship standards.

The Equipment Manager reports to the Golf Course Superintendent and coordinates with the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent(s) and oversees a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for the golf course assets. The Equipment Manager works to effectively communicate all needs/problems relating to repair of equipment to the Superintendent and/or the Assistant Superintendent(s), and schedules/directs the work assignments of the Assistant Equipment Mechanic in conjunction with himself/herself. While we are fortunate to have an Assistant Equipment Mechanic, this is still a hands-on position. The Equipment Manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe service area and maintenance building.

This year-round position will present the opportunity to:
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical defects/failures in various golf course maintenance equipment, including, diesel-, electric- and gasoline-powered mowers, and other mechanical equipment used in golf course maintenance work
  • Work with/mentor the Assistant Equipment Mechanic and work with the Senior Grounds Management Team to achieve course excellence through commitment
  • Develop the art of sharpening using sophisticated grinding equipment and cutting unit theory
  • Carry out preventative maintenance as per OEM recommendations, including detailed record keeping
  • Help train staff in the safe and efficient use of golf course maintenance equipment within Club SOP guidelines
  • Have regular exposure to industry wide networking within the turfgrass industry while representing the Club as a professional leader
  • Maintain a preventive maintenance program within budget on all equipment while keeping detailed inventory of purchased parts and replacement
  • Spot check equipment for performance on the course, make emergency repairs to equipment on the course, and services or supervises servicing of equipment prior to use
  • Oversee the shop area maintenance in accordance with MOEE and MOL guidelines
Qualifications required:
  • 3-5-years of equipment technician experience within the golf, automotive, agricultural, or heavy equipment field
  • Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and on-board computer systems in a timely manner
  • Ability to move heavy objects - must be able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to fabricate necessary items (tools, parts, etc.) for equipment and equipment maneuverability
  • Ability to identify quality of cut issues and determine appropriate repair

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a part-time, seasonal Banquet Server to cater to our ever-growing Calendar of Events. Whatever the occasion, the Banquet Server will greet everyone in a warm and courteous manner and bring a positive attitude to every event. You will act as the first line of response to members to ensure it is a memorable experience. You will communicate in an open, helpful, and engaging tone and focus on finding the right solution with each member.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
We are looking for a seasonal Dining Room Server to provide a quality dining experience for all members in one of three restaurants or two outdoor dining areas available at the Club. No matter what location, the Dining Room Server will greet members with a smile and bring a positive attitude to every encounter. You will be able to analyse and interpret the needs of members and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required.

We are looking for a seasonal Customer Service Representative to cater to our tennis members. You will accept tennis court bookings in person or over the phone. You will be responsible for Pro Shop sales and merchandising. You will serve food and beverages to members and assist with special events as required.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of retail experience and be comfortable with point-of-sale systems. You have strong communication skills and can respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a positive manner. You are available to work a flexible work week which includes some days and nights during the week and on weekends. Completion of the Smart Serve and Safe Food Handling Certificate is required prior to your start date at the Club. Knowledge of the sport of tennis will be considered a strong asset.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a seasonal Halfway House Attendant to greet all golfers in a warm and courteous manner as they reach the halfway point in their game. You will have a strong culinary background to ensure food is prepared fresh for our members. You will be capable of working independently, including cleaning, and restocking the facility as needed. Your focus will be on creating a positive experience for each member.

The London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Housekeeping Team as a Locker Room Attendant.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a seasonal Locker Room Attendant who will work directly with members and their guests. You will strive to maintain a safe and clean locker room environment and ensure all amenities are always stocked. The Locker Room Attendant should endeavor to solve any problems that a member or guest may encounter and inform management of any issues brought forth. You will perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting surfaces, cleaning washrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, counters, wash towels, empty garbage’s and any other task as required. This position is for the Men’s Locker Room.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of customer service experience and must be able to understand, speak, read, and write English fluently. You must be clean and neat in appearance and in proper uniform during each shift. You work well under pressure and assist your colleagues as required. Must have and submit a clean Vulnerable Sector Police Background Check prior to employment start date.
