Dining Room Supervisor

Job Summary

The Dining Room Supervisor is responsible for: ensuring a quality dining experience for all members and guests; the supervision of the everyday operations of the dining room and terrace/patio area’s; managing, and training of dining room employees; and overseeing billing of member food charges.
 
Responsibilities
  • Heavy focus on training in service standards, menu items, use of POS system.
  • Maintain in healthy communication with and supports the Dining Room Manager.
  • Inspect dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance, cleanliness and safety.
  • Manages member reservations.
  • Receive and greets members and guests; assist with seating.
  • Check tables throughout service times for guest satisfaction, resolve guest complaints.
  • Handles opening or closing procedures.
  • Supervise member dining staff and maintain uniform and service standards.
  • Ensure side work is completed every day and dining room supplies are stocked. Reports any supply shortages to the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Review daily specials and help promote restaurant and club events.
  • Lead to achieve desired results in high quality service and experience for members.
  • Serve tables as required by business volumes.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
 
Requirements
  • Prior experience working at fine dining restaurants or private clubs an asset.
  • Smart Serve Certified.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English at a high school level.
  • Knowledge of fine dining operations.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven management/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with cooks and other serving staff.
  • Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised.
  • Able to handle and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Criminal Background check required.

Overnight Cleaner
The overnight cleaner will be responsible to clean member facilities, so they are presentable or use in the morning.

Job Responsibilities
  • Clean and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc).
  • washrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, counters, wash towels, empty garbage’s etc.
  • Operate various equipment including auto-scrubber
  • Daily laundry duties, stock and maintain amenities
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies
Job Specifications/Qualifications Required
  • Must be flexible to work shifts- overnight, weekends and holidays
  • Pleasant personality and cooperative nature. Member service, able to converse with members and guests in a professional manner
  • Must be clean and neat in appearance and in proper
  • Must be able to understand and to speak, read and write English fluently and to write it
  • Must have and submit a clean Police Background Check
  • Able to stand/walk for a full shift
  • physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 kg
  • Must submit a clean Police Background Check
  • Must be able to safely drive a golf cart
Starting Wage: $14.50 / hr

Job Type: Full-time – Seasonal (April – November)

Position available from late-April until end of October.  Possibility to continue working four days per week during winter season.
