Dining Room Server

London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Food and Beverage Team as a Dining Room Server.

Job Summary
Provide food and beverage service to the Club’s Members and guests in the Clubhouse.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Set up side station and perform assigned side (prep) work.
  • Provide immediate attention to all Members and guests upon seating.
  • Distribute food and wine menus; answer inquiries.
  • Take members’ and guests’ orders; suggestively sell food and beverage items, if appropriate.
  • Place orders with kitchen; inform cooks about any special cooking instructions.
  • Serve meals; place dishes by course in front of each person.
  • Check back to ensure member and guest satisfaction; replenish water and butter as necessary.
  • Remove soiled dishes.
  • Present dessert menus, suggest and serve dessert, coffee, and after-dinner drinks.
  • Present the bill
  • Handle all cash and credit card charges as prescribed by standard operating procedures.
  • Keep tables, dining room and bus station areas clean.
  • Advise supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Perform clean-up and closing duties as assigned by the manager.
  • Attend pre-meal meetings as requested by the dining room captain (dining room supervisor, dining room manager, or outlet manager).
  • Thank members and guests; invite them to return.
  • Consistently follow local and federal laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
  • Perform other appropriate duties assigned by dining room or outlet manager.
Qualifications Required:
  • Successful completion of the Smart Serve Certificate (prior to start date).
  • Ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Successful completion of the Safe Food Handlers Certificate (recommended).
  • Successful police check for the vulnerable sector may be required.

Halfway House/Outlets Server (Seasonal)

London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Food and Beverage Team as a Halfway House/Outlets Server.

Job Summary
Provide food and beverage service to the Club’s Members and guests on the golf course and tennis courts.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Prepare daily food.
  • Serve food and beverage (alcoholic and non alcoholic).
  • Maintain cleanliness upon opening and closing.
  • Cook Hamburgers and Hot Dogs (potential for additional meal items).
  • Keep all aspects of the halfway house organized.
  • Be responsible for proper food handling (making sure all product is fresh).
Qualifications & Experience Required:
  • Minimum one year experience as a server
  • Smart Serve Certificate required
  • Food Handling Certificate required

Senior Locker Room Attendant (Seasonal - Men's Locker Room)

London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Housekeeping Team as the Senior Locker Room Attendant.
Job Summary
The Senior Locker Room Attendant position deals directly with Members and their guests. They should endeavor to solve any problems that a Member or guest may encounter and inform management of any issues brought forth. This position is for the Men’s Locker Room.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Greet all Members and guests as they enter the locker room.
  • Create daily guest sheets and assign guest lockers.
  • Clean and polish golf shoes and place in shoe drawers.
  • Ensure guest lockers are set up properly, as well as clean, tidy and emptied when not in use.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including vacuuming, dusting surfaces, cleaning washrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, counters, wash towels, empty garbage’s etc.
  • Daily laundry duties.
  • Ensure all locker room items and amenities are always stocked.  
  • Maintain a safe and clean locker room environment.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and locker room/service procedures & standards.
  • Coordinate duties with other team members in the Locker Room.
Qualifications Required:
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Pleasant personality and cooperative nature.
  • Member service; able to converse with Members and guests in a professional manner.
  • Must be clean and neat in appearance and in proper uniform.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English fluently.
  • Must have and submit a clean Police Background Check for working with the Vulnerable Sector prior to employment start date.
Staff Perks

Overnight Cleaner (Seasonal)
London Hunt and Country Club is accepting applications to join our Housekeeping Team as Overnight Cleaner.
Job Summary
The overnight cleaner will be responsible to clean Member facilities overnight, so they are presentable for use in the morning.

This position will present the opportunity to:
  • Clean and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc).
  • Clean washrooms, including toilets, showers, mirrors, counters, wash towels, empty garbage’s etc.
  • Operate various equipment including the auto-scrubber.
  • Perform daily laundry duties, stock and maintain amenities.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies.
Job Specifications/Qualifications Required
  • Must be flexible to work various shifts- mainly overnight (11pm-7am), including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
  • Pleasant personality and cooperative nature.
  • Member service, able to converse with Members and guests in a professional manner
  • Must be clean and neat in appearance and in proper uniform.
  • Must be able to understand, speak, read and write English fluently.
  • Able to stand/walk for a full shift.
  • Physically capable of pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying up to 20 kg.
  • Must submit a clean Police Background Check for working with the Vulnerable Sector prior to employment start date.
  • Must be able to safely drive a golf cart.
