Facilities Maintenance

The London Hunt and Country Club is looking for a full time facilities maintenance/ handyman to undertake upkeep and repair tasks on the interior and exterior of our private Golf Club premises. We’ll rely on you to keep our facilities in perfect condition by doing various jobs and assisting our housekeeping department with the needs of our Membership.

This role requires someone who is reliable, honest, hardworking, self driven, able to work independently and in a team environment, can oversee preventative care/ maintenance of a high end hospitality facility and is able to positively interact with staff, members, guests, suppliers and trades people in a positive and productive manner.

Our Maintenance Manager of 35 years is retiring and we are looking for a driven and talented individual to keep our Club the best in class.  You will be working along side our Housekeeping Manager in coordinating the effective function of our facilities and reporting to the Clubhouse Manager.
The Role includes the following:
  • Preventative maintenance and repair**
  • Painting and touch ups
  • General plumbing/ installations; Toilets, faucets, fix leaks/ clogs etc.
  • General cleanliness
  • Helping with room setup and take down pre and post events
  • Facility repair; doors, doorknobs, locks, trim, staining, polish floors, power spray walkways/ patios, carpet and ceiling tile repair/ installation, annual inspections etc.
  • Ensure building meets all health and safety requirements
  • Ensure proper functioning of all alarms, smoke alarms, fire extinguishers and help coordinate inspections keeping us to code
  • Assist tradespeople with electrical, plumbing, HVAC repairs etc.
  • Material Management/ Ordering supplies
  • Use of light power tools will be daily
  • Light shovelling and salting in the winter season
    • ** Although being able to repair certain breakdowns is advantageous it is imperative that all health and safety guidelines are followed and one is never putting himself (herself) or others at risk of injury and or harm. Only a licensed professional should deal with potentially hazardous trade work.
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience with facilities maintenance/ handyman (minimum 5 years experience)
  • Effective communication skills in person and via email
  • Well organized and apt in problem solving
  • Have a positive attitude and is a productive self motivator
  • Able to meet deadlines and achieve results
  • Schedule is flexible as hours may vary (full time hours)
  • Attention to detail
Would be beneficial to have, however not a requirement, tickets and professional experience in; plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, refrigeration and air conditioning.

Dishwasher/Cook

The London Hunt and Country Club is searching for both Cooks and Dishwasher to join our team, both full time and part time positions available. The ideal candidate should posses prior experience in a kitchen and at least two years cooking experience for all cook positions. We are looking to hire as soon as possible.

Banquet Server

The role includes the following:

  • Performs related banquet set-up tasks.
  • Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating them.
  • Takes beverage orders and serves food in specified station.
  • Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal.
  • Empties ashtrays and clears soiled dishes as needed.
  • Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and banquet areas.
  • Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, busing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room for the next function.
  • Attends staff meetings including pre-service (line-up) sessions.
  • Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
  • Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
  • Consistently follows all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene.
  • Competes other appropriate assignments made by the banquet supervisor.
  • Knowledge of food and wine.
